Went down last shot of the day, felt glorious! One of the classics of the cave IMO. Feet on the headwall are trickier than expected, actually rather technical. I ❤️ every move on this one!

Freezing morning. hands went numb and a bit rusty on the moves. revisited the technical foot sequences for crux.

Tick!!! Climbed through the upside down ceiling more efficiently and had the gas to dead point through the crux and control the swing. Happy days! One of the best routes at Flinders.

Given we were on a tight timeframe, I got back on this again. Had cooled down a bit much and got a touch flash pumped on the head wall; also felt like I was lacking a bit of power still, so maybe I wasn't fully recovered from Friday. Anyway, held the cut-loose, but dropped the next move. Bummer!

After surprising myself on the first shot, I wanted to give it another crack. Climbed to the final kneebar perfectly, felt good in the crux, but relaxed my core too soon and cut loose on the final cross, pinging off with a big sense of deja vu. Stoked to almost nab the "re-send" of this in a day; seems like I've only lost some endurance the past few months, not all my ability

Went up for a play after talking Rob through the beta. Climbed pretty well. I had one sit at the final kneebar, then punched through the headwall quite well. I felt stronger than I expected but came off hitting the post-crux jugs. Such a fun route!

Getting draws up. Clean to final kneebar but somehow got my right leg over the rope, and had to sit to get it untangled. Went bolt to bolt from there, giving me the opportunity to work out a slight change in beta just prior to the cut loose that felt much more solid.

YAS! Finally got it done. This route has such awesome movement—felt like a total boss holding the cut-loose with the new beta. So much joy clipping the chains. 23 shots all up, across 6 sessions, makes this my hardest-won send to date. Considerably harder for me than Dr Pepper, but so worth it. [23]

Warm up shot. Felt really good at the final kneebar, so punched onwards only to fall on the cut-loose two moves from the jugs.

Was hopeful it would go this shot but I dropped it at the cut-loose again. Footwork moving in to the drop-knee was a bit sloppy. Lowered off for an extended break.

Climbed fast and efficient to the final kneebar, rested well, then punched into the crux...but dropped it on the very same cut-loose again. This is becoming quite frustrating; the conditions certainly weren't terrible, but I did notice both hands spooging off the holds more than normal at the cut-loose, so maybe that's all it is...I can't think of anything I'm doing wrong at that point, just not getting my feet back on the wall once I cut.

Climbed well to the last kneebar, but dropped the toe-jam. Pretty disappointed as I felt good. After a very short sit, I got back into the kneebar and climbed through to the anchors.

Final shot of the day. Was super tight on the headwall, improvising a better sequence out of the toe-jam that will make a big difference next session. Just didn't quite have enough to stick the left hand bump and came off. Dogged up and back cleaned the draws. I don't seem to pump out on this route, just power out. Still, was an encouraging session—fingers crossed I can wrap it up next session.

Fell two moves from the jugs So bummed. This route is really making me earn it! Should have skipped clipping the crux bolt and burned through to the last, but I didn't and just ran out of juice on the big crossover. Sigh.

Tied back in after a short rest to try again. Was very messy moving into the crux and cut loose on the left hand crimp and again after the bump. Subsequently fell on the dropknee to the decent right hand. Felt frustrated after this poor attempt.

After an extended break belaying Alex on Desperado, I tied back in for the final shot of the day. Pinged off on the dropdown after the third when my right leg slipped...lowered off and tried again.

How I squeezed this out while so tired, I don't know. And I almost bailed on today, too! Couldn't do my ab-crunch hand-toehook match, so had to heel-toe the cheese block. Couldn't have sent without Peatey's encouragement and Kurt's awesome belay support. Almost sad to be done with this route. Thanks guys. Classic!

Warm up dog. Clean to the crux clip but fell on the left hand bump again Struggled to pull the drop-knee given I wasn't warmed up so lowered off.

Found even better beta for the dropdown sequence making it far easier—made it to the final knee bar feeling very fresh. Feet cut on the left crimp, but I managed to get feet back on and just make the bump to the left pocket, cutting feet again, then punted the drop knee. Left hand was pretty torn up and was too painful on the pocket to keep going, so lowered off to tape it up for another shot.

Clean to crux clip again but didn't clip as I wanted to try a different position. Unfortunately, I fell on the drop knee again. Pulled back on from the toe jamb and climbed through to the anchor. New clipping stance for the second last works much better for me and I'm much more confident about that clip. Very happy to have it down to two overlapping sections.

End of day attempt. Pretty tired, but still climbed clean to the final knee bar beneath the headwall. Got the bump without cutting loose, setup for the drop knee but just didn't have the juice. Started from below the drop knee than climbed through to the cross-over with the left hand, stuck it, but couldn't get the right foot placed and pinged off. This thing is nails—well harder than Dr Pepper for me—but I'm getting there!

Worked through to the third last draw pretty quickly, having belayed Alex Mougenot on this, but then struggled to find the clipping stance for the second last. Didn't want to get destroyed warming up so lowered off.

Clean to the third last, but fell bumping to the next clipping hold. Left heel then popped while I was looking for options and shredded some of my ankle—lowered off to tape it up and go again.

Clean to the third last, but fell bumping the left hand to the clipping hold again. Worked the clip more and managed to find the heel-toe for the right foot that lets me clip. Also managed to pull all the moves to the next clip and then to the anchor, so pretty stoked to have sorted all the beta and done all the moves. Found a much better sequence (for me at least) at the last bolt than the craziness Alex Mougenot was doing Bring on the next session!

Oooooph! Tied straight back in and up to before the last bolt when I start moving upside down! Didn't have feet sorted, lost tension, couldn't pull back on and took flight. Refined some foot beta. Getting cloooose!

Bit more linkage and refining! Suuuch funky movement. As Kurt said, it's almost as if you climb half of it with your feet first. Drop-kneebars, footjams, heelhooks galore, double heelhooks, heel-toes and toe-hooks above your hear, with a toe-hook, handmatch. Freakin' insane! Will be an effort to link it together.
