Super cool climb. 2nd pitch is mega except for the loose rocks, but they can be avoided. Lead the 17 variant for the first pitch. Used too many small friends at the start that I needed later on. felt slow.

Very cool to take in the sunset view at the top before the bonus chimney and rap down in darkness.

What an amazing climb, and felt def serious for the grade! We thought we got lost at the end of the second pitch, and diverted through a wet chimney right up to the rap chain. Perhaps a tick harder, but less exposure and more pro.

very nice exposure stepping out on to the arete. moved onto the arete just after the piton, and went straight up! some cool movements that felt pretty bold. gear was not super inspiring on the line i took. little crux i protected by an rp, which felt spicy. may have gone slightly off route at the end of P2 towards ophthalmia.

Classy climbing the whole way. Lots of loose blocks but all avoidable, its the Organ Pipes. Some really nice moves found in p3.

Leading that off width though, spicy. Make sure you're brushed up on proper techniques, can't thrutch your way through haha. #6 works, #5 would have been better to bring, only need one.

What a glorious climb! Finally finished the climb after having to bail out a few years back due to my sore heels from hitting the deck on 3rd bird. Pretty hard second pitch, nearly cramped my calves. Pipes version of Ramadan, haha. Bring as many .4 and .5s as you can. I ran out with triples of them and had to rely on sketchy nuts

Awesome adventure. Great example of "the grade doesn't tell the whole story". Pitch 1, good. Pitch 2 is 42m of great exciting gripping challenging classic proper rock climbing. If 16 is near your limit, bring double cams plus some micros. I found a few hexes handy as well. I took the right hand arete variation on the second half of pitch 2 as I was not looking forward to another chimney Pitch 3, you better be okay with exposure. Will do again soon.

Almost or did have an epic. Climbed the first pitch well and then it started raining and the wind chill made it about 4 degrees Celsius. Contemplated rapping down and leaving gear for about 30mins but decided to push on in the light rain. I despised the first half of pitch two but only because I had lost complete feeling in my hands and feet up to my shins. Found a rest in a chimney to warm my limbs again. Worked so well that I got hot and absolutely loved the second half of that pitch. Pretty exposed and airy climbing on the arete makes for an awesome climb. Will study weather forecast in more depth next time.
