Aesthetic but poor quality rock with a surprisingly varied trad route.

While you wouldn't travel all the way out to Halfway Crag just to climb here if you're in the area it's worth a stop and explore up this wandering and striking sandstone feature.

Climbed on a natural top rope anchor initially early 2017 by some local Alice Springs climbers, the one obvious and aesthetic trad route at this crag 'Blister in the Sun' was first ascended in Dec 2017. An adventure in loose but striking Centralian rock.

Grade Route

A bold and balancy lead in places for the grade. Look for the obvious protectable right facing corner. A committing and gymnastic move to start on the climb proper off the 3m ledge directly under the corner and then up with another steep corner onto a ledge and up again trending right on the slab with rewarding moves to climb out. Walk off possible.
