Ascents in Seaside Lower

Not the best - definitely not a starred climb in my opinion. First pitch gets wet/muddy half way, then sandy the remainder. Big head sized chunk that looked solid came out. Second pitch finishes with a precarious crawl through bushes. Would not recommend.

Did it for the full point perp adventure climbing experience! 2 eventful raps into the choss of the lower cliffs so we can climb our cold frightened ass out of the roaring Pacific Ocean.

This was a great introduction to the lower cliff, which has a completely different "feel" than the upper cliff. The rock looked dodgy, but was actually bomber. It was a fun adventure, and I highly recommend it.

Superb exposure and line but rock conditions were bad. Moist and sandy holds with water seeping through the rock for most of the first pitch, including the crux. Had to use abseil rope to protect the crux. Disappointing quality, better do Itchycoo Park - it's so much better!

Froze my arse off while waiting at the bottom; started the climb with totally numb hands and feet. Fell while trying to retrieve a stuck cam. Ron Garner leading.
