Summary

North and west facing cliff, western end stays shady until 11am. Good winter location or early summer morning.

Description

Areas of solid sandstone with ironstone features interspersed with bands of conglomerate- sometimes on the same route. The ledges and upper slopes are fairly unstable with loose boulders so care needed if doing abseiling near car park. Most routes have had 2 ascents, and often not since1990 so brushes and helmets essential.

Approach

Driving up from Quorrobolong, turn off Sandy Creek rd, heading south. Go up the hill through the cattle grid and at the T at the top of the hill turn right. After aproximatly 2km there is a sharp left hand bend in the road. There is a small dirt track leading off to the right. Park at the top of the cliff line. Access is via the western end of the cliff.
