Description

Crag about 25 minutes drive from Halifax.

Mostly bouldering but there is a little roped climbing too.

Access issues

The gate is sometimes open, but there is no guarantee it will be when you try to leave, so park outside.

Make sure not to block or park on any private driveways, including the small gravel pullout with an easy-to-miss ‘no parking’ sign.

Approach

Chebucto Head is located along the shore from Halifax. From the Armdale Roundabout, take Herring Cove Road (route 349) south for 19 kms, until you see the Duncan’s Cove sign. Turn left and follow Chebucto Head Road. Stay to the left when it forks, and park by the side of the road near the barrier
