Access issues inherited from Swakop River

  1. The original developers request that chalk is not to be used.

  2. The south of the river is in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The North is in the Dorob. This does not appear to present any problems, but climbers are urged to look after the area.


Stiefel wall is before and behind Brauhaus-wand. It is number 3 on the topo. Park before Brauhaus-wand and walk into the hills.

  1. Follow chute up to about half height then right to stance (bolted belay).

  2. Chimney up 10m, keeping right past bolt to the big band (belay).

  3. Straight up then right to pinnacle (threads).
