Routes as deep water solo in Te Ika-a-Māui / The North Island

The fun, low level girdle traverse, just above the water mostly, at Hoffmans Pool on OKish banded rock (the occasional flakey edge or pocket). Step down when it gets too shallow on the far right side, if need be. Easiest and most convenient to cross to up-stream.

Climb the easy groove directly below the bomb launch spot, stepping right (crux) at the top.

The "deep water solo" of Kawakawa Bay. Access is gained by rapping down the tree or off Pirate King then swim across. Care is needed to avoid the rock at the bottom if you were to fall off.

a short easy traverse over deep water. start at the downriver side of the boulder, be careful falling on the upriver part as it is shallower but still deep. you should brush the upriver part of the climb as it is often slippery.

climb half of Toko Awa then go up the crack.

Start from the ledge and climb the prominent crack in the middle of the wall.
