Ascents of Arms Control

Almost retro flash, remembered a little bit from one try 2 years ago.

More like a soft 23 or hard 22. Big hold to pass the cave, then climb on some small hold to bridge urself up. Getting easier on top.

Used Kiera's beta after she saw me struggle with the more powerful way. Holds are still as sharp as last year. Going out left is more technical whereas going right is more power, your choice

Got past the crux, but was too pumped to do the rest of the climb

Can't quite figure out the sequence.

Second attempt

It felt so much easier to try this route fresh, with the beta dialed down. Powerful, bouldery first crux above the 3rd bolt and then technical, easier second crux after the ledge. Almost deserves 2 stars.

Straightforward beta but very powerful. Good reminder to train harder. Bailed at 2nd crux. No strength/motivation.

First attempt. Clipped second bolt. Left hand up to deep two finger pocket (bumping up from rightmost of the shallow pockets. Right hand up to an undercling in big pocket, but didn’t find feet to move right hand further up to sharp pocket right of third bolt. Wasn’t feeling strong after drinking a bit last night and another climber was lining up for a go, so we decided that this project was for another day.
