The Mountain Club of South Africa (MCSA) owns Mhlabatini. Access to non-members is restricted by permits issued by the Johannesburg section.

From the parking walk to the stream, directly after crossing the stream turn left. A few meters further you will see a yellow sign and a ladder over a fence. Follow the path up next to the river. The path curves rightwards at the top. Just after going over the crest of the hill you will find the campsite.
