Description

Impressive and mostly overhanging red wall. Home to many El Chorro classics.

Approach

There are multiple ways to get to Makinodromo. One option is the "notch approach". Go here [36.9154, -4.7695] and follow the little stonetowers for about 90 minutes. The approach does not require you to pay for the Caminito del Rey like you may assume when looking at it on the map.

El Chorros mega classic 8a.

Same end as Lourdes.

Finish at the intermediate lower-off of 'Salida de emergencia'. A tricky crux...

The right hand line above the intermediate lower-off.

The left-hand line above the intermediate lower-off of 'Salida de emergencia'.

Follow the ring bolts. The fixed hangers are for the harder variations...

The obvious striking tufa/column in the middle of the wall. Shares the start with Life is Sweet but then keeps going straight up the left side of the tufa. There is an old anchor at the top of the tufa (ignore this), head up veering left around a blank section. The final bolt is a little too far right relative to the climbing.
