Description

Short face climbing with some good but challenging climbs for a solid 5.9 climber. Also features some very tall climbs on a ledge system and the odd trad piece.

Approach

'Bear Mountain Picnic' marks the start of this area when walking the low road from the waterfall. Take a short, well marked path up to the arete.

The rest of Jimmy Wood is along the bottom path and features a ledge with a few climbs above.

Climb over roof to anchors.

A committing start with ample exposure at top. Start by traversing around the bouldery overhang then continue up the airy arete.

Start to the left of La Pistola, climb the short face, starting with hands just above an overhang.

This is the last climb on the upper 'Bear Mountain Picnic' ledge, to access the remaining climbs, head down to the path and keep moving left.

Miss Prissy don't know nothin' about birthin' no babies

Slightly harder than 'Miss Prissy'. Thought provoking face climbing.

Crimpy and sharp face climbing!!

Start on ledge above Mammy, follow obvious green and orange arete. Possibly sandbagged for a 5.9, doing the arete without stemming is a 5.11.

Goes up reverse staircase rock to flat roof at top. Start up first pitch of 'Story Of My Life' to ledge. Shares that belay. Requires 60 meter rope.

1 5.8
2 5.11b

Start up left trending bolted line to ledge. A trad anchor is required as the old bolts have been cut. The second pitch follows a slightly right trending series of bolts up the arrete.

Short.

Starts with slab moves past first bolt to some jugs below a roof. Pull the roof and continue on a crimp you face to anchors. 12 bolts.

Pull a supper classic roof to view the "puppet" theatre. Awesome! Route has 3 distinct sections. Thin face to start. Slabby in the middle. Big roof at the end. Bring a long sling for the last bolt. Thanks John & Brian!

Moderate climb, start from on top of a little ledge. It's about 3 or 4 feet high. Wet Willie is the route on the right.
