Summary

North America's Premiere Limestone Climbing Destination (#NAPLCD).

Description

With limestone that's 500 million years old, this stuff is frankly bullet-proof. Notoriously glassy footholds lead to exquisite pockets. Mt. Charleston hosts a high concentration of quality hard sport climbing-- a single cave may have ten different 5.14's. Much of Mt. Charleston is yet to be developed as most of the current climbs are from the 90's and early 2000's. Climbs vary dramatically in height from bouldery 30' rigs to 120' endurofests. Currently the most difficult routes are 5.14d/9a although many potential 5.15's are waiting for an FA.
