As Maynard James Keenan once said; “shedding skin, I’ve been picking my scabs again” that’s exactly how this climb will leave you. Skinless and bloody. Good even though I’m probably the worlds worst roof crack climber!

Second shot with rak. Sit low down, but sent the entire crux section at once. Might go next time. Very fun early morning session.

By far my favourite Trad route in Araplies just because its one of the few if not the only roof crack at Arapiles. Highest grade I have done so far but definitely going to be my first 22.

Did have the rope get caught in the crack as I went up. It got jammed with the gear, any ideas on how this can be avoided?

Nice to be back. Took 3 goes to do the bottom crux clean from the ground (was lowering at the 3rd cam). Had 3x cams placed when the send went down. Placed the rest on link.

I am no crack climber, this was hard..

Took me a couple up climbs to commit to the start, then just hang on.

I found this brutal. I had to do a full euro drop knee at the crux. besides all that awesome steep crack climbing. second shot.

Finally went after the last attempt had me climbing a waterfall.

Harder for tall people, you get quite bunched

Will wear my crack gloves next time 😂. Great route. Got crossed up jamming in bottom 3rd. Will be back for this beauty. (Bring 2x3 or 2x 4 next time)

Stoked to place the gear this time, even found some flow on this send! Had to make it look fun for the uninitiated. I think a great testpiece for aspiring roof crack climbers, that takes both mind and body round the twist

I put the capital 'D' back in Dogged It for this route.

i am SO bloody impressed with Tom onsighting this. glad i didn't wreck it for him by going first because i got my ass completely handed to me and didnt even get to the headwall

Had done this one for ages

Was not feeling up to this climb today. Definitely requires a full gas tank and I was feeling pretty empty. Another one to come back for!

I was many things but a glorious Rodent was not one of them.

Such a fun climb!! Was really strong on the first section and after falling, struggled to get back on. Persisted to get gear back but will definitely be coming back for this to do it clean.
