Cesty do 15m dlhé, väčšinou v mierne položených platniach.

Zustieg

Zaparkuj na veľkom parkovisku na Jahodníku, pred zákazom vjazdu. Odtiaľ asi kilometer po asfaltovej ceste (zelená turistická značka), smer Rekreačné stredisko Záruby. Hneď skraja RS Záruby prekroč závoru vpravo a pokračuj po cestičke hore a vľavo poza chatky. Tam pokračuj vpravo na lesnú cestu a hneď po pár metroch naľavo je slabo viditeľný chodník ktorý ťa dovedie pod skalu (asi 50m).

An area started to grow around the year of 2000. It is known for its wild nature. You can meet deer or wild birds if you don't make too much noise and have luck.

From your car you go along the municipal office and follow the road. Next to the road on the left side there are meadows. Where the road crosses the stream you can go to the right to sector A or continue in a valley to other sectors.

Übernachtung

A car can be parked near the municipal office or the fire station.

Ethik

Be silent and respectful to nature. It is not allowed/recommended to climb on the rock when the previous day rained.

(48.6496606, 18.5842861) Go few meters back and cross the creek using a small bridge. Continue along the dirt road for few minutes and keep looking to the right. Once there are no trees on the right, cross the creek to right (dirt road) and go steep to the sadle. Once there, turn left and continue on the trail.

(48.6451992, 18.5710917) Park the car and continue by foot towards to "No entry" sign. Keep going until a small bridge is crossing the creek on the left, take the brigde. Go towards a small hut, keep on the trail left, pass an outdoor toilet and take the steep trail up.

30 metrov vysoké andezitové skalné pásmo.

Zustieg

Zaparkuj na parkovisku lyžiarskeho strediska nad obcou Cigeľ (z obce sem vedie modrá turistická značka). Stúpaj priamo popri zjazdovke. Na konci zjazdovky sa daj vpravo, asi 300 metrov po lesnej ceste. Na rázcestí sa dáš vľavo do kopca, je tu aj tabuľka "Jančekova skala". Asi po 300m prídeš ku skale. Prístup zaberie cca 45 minút.

Iconic limestone crag with plenty of intermediate to expert sport singlepitch routes. Some routes suitable for beginners as well.

Beschreibung

Bring at least 60m ropes. Recommended amount of quickdraws is 10-15. Fixing is usually in very good condition, not rusty, not loose (2022). At the top there are anchors which can be used but use your own stuff whenever possible to save it for others (i.e. during top roping).

Shade all over but some top of the routes are exposed to sun. In hot summer days its good idea not to climb between 10am-4pm. Still plenty of them in shade all day though.

Beware of heavy traffic on main road. Stay visible!

Zustieg

After parking on P1, P2 or P3 (all of them very small spots - not really oficial parking places) follow the main road.

Übernachtung

Plenty of spots at nearby small villages. Even more options in Donovaly or Banská Bystrica. Staying in tent prohibited. In case of emergency bivaque - use a cave directly at the crag and stay low profile and of course keep the area clean.

Zádiel Gorge (popularly called the Valley - Zádielska dolina) is a monumental rocky canyon with a depth of nearly 400 m, a length of 3 km with the narrowest width of the bottom 10 m. George is located in the Slovak Karst in the village Zádiel in the Kosice region. It is created by water flowing Blatno Creek. Since 1954 the area (acreage of 214.73 hectares) is National natural monument. "Cukrova homola" is the highest towerlike rock unit in Slovakia.

Lesser known part of the Zamutovské skaly massif, a few hudred meters further into the forest.

Beschreibung

Andesite walls and towers typical for Slanské Vrchy, very nice slabs and cracks, very rarely overhung. As it is a little known area, it offers you peace and calm, but also a tougher approach (no really good path) and in some places a little worse footing while belaying.

Einschränkungen

Tougher terrain, very unstable soil underfoot, from Zamutovské Skaly you reach the top of the cliffs and need to scramble down between them.

Zustieg

From Zamutovské skaly, follow the asphalt route until a sharp right turn. Go off into the forest there, following the old forest road. You need to get up to the ridge on your left. Alternatively, from the parking lot, follow the blue trail, than at a big oak (with names scratched in the bark) turn left, past a small meadow with a hunting post. A hundred meters later, go left (cairn), then keep right until a big intersection, where you find a trail to the top of the ridge. There is a path following the ridge, with small cairns marking starts of descent routes. Be careful, the terrain is very loose.

Übernachtung

As with Zamutovské Skaly, Penzión Kondor is the closest place to overnight. Camping is prohibited in the area proper, but there is a nice place by the asphalt forest road aou take for access.

Beschreibung

Located 868 meters above sea level, the crag was a good place to build a watch-out fortress. You can ascent to the top of the rock formation and check the remnants of a circular tower. Today, the cliffs are being used and developed for sport climbing, with nicely landscaped access, good level places for belay, easy to moderate routes mostly in the 9 - 20 meters range, with typical andesite ledges, crimps and pinches. The area is very family and camping friendly, with a nice fireplace, camping tables and a nearby water spring. Camping and overnighting is allowed in the area.
