Flinders still open with the national park ban with COVID-19? It looks like it lies outside the park...

Marie Miguel replied 9 weeks ago.

no restrictions?

viceionic replied 9 weeks ago.

With Covid19 really affecting everyone globally, isnt it we should set stricter restrictions.

nathan mcneil replied 9 weeks ago.

nat parks arent closed, only campsites. flinders also is in a neat position where it doesnt fall under nat parks so will remain open regardless of weather parks close or not (which they arent)

Yawn...

Yes, Flinders is on ICC managed land. No change to access.

See you there on the weekend

So any health measure for those who will go to the park?

Updte on Nathan's comment:

Parks have revised their status since Nathan made that comment a month ago.

Virtually all NPs are closed now: camping sites, tracks, summit tracks, climbing sites.

There are a few gray zones left: Pages; Secret Cave; Ninderry; Serpent; Tinberwah.

Brooyar isn't closed as such, but the campsite is. Ditto Girraween.

Thanks for the update Mark. To clarify the pages comment, pages is closed as it is land owned & managed by SEQ Water & they announced a while ago that all land & water managed by them is closed during this time. Also, regarding Flinders, I believe there is some announcement from Ipswich city council that covers access to flinders. Can't recall exactly what it said but shouldn't be hard to find in order to do your own due diligence.

With the PMs announcement today, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
