Routes in Asia

Start with left heel on the side of the undercling, left hand on undercling, right hand on the crimp. Go left hand to the small sidepull, left hand up to the next crimp straight above, and left hand to the next where your right hand is for the regular start. Bring the left foot up to the overhanging rail and right foot to the large bump on the right. Move right hand to the starting slot for the left hand on the regular start. Continue through the regular start.

To access turn right at 莲花洞. It is in the clear cave on the left.

Start at the two slots in the center of the boulder. Follow the clear line up until the large jug and top out.

Top rope route with bolted anchor and right of " Wine n dine " route.

Bolted by Prani. This route is located on the neighbouring rock in Gethna area and about 30 m to the right of Knee man's land route.

Top rope with 2 anchor bolts with double rings. Does not have lead bolts yet. This route is on a bit of overhanging wall and is about 20 m to the right of Veera Madrasi route. Top anchors bolted by Pranesh Manchaiah. The expected grade is 5.12a/b.

This is the 3rd route from the left side. Bolted by Pranesh Manchaiah in August 2020. Clip into the first bolt from the ground and the first crux move is the dyno start. There are other crux moves at bolt 3 and 4.

Probably the most popular route in Islamabad. Locals primarily use this route for speed climbing competitions and intro classes for new climbers in Margalla Hills.

Islamabad's only sport multipitch. Wonderful climb with an easy approach. The first pitch has no bolts. It is easy class 3 climbing until you get to the belay bolts. Bolts were removed from this pitch some years ago. Second pitch is easy to get lost at the start. There will be steep class 3 climbing with class 4 moves. Once you get to the first bolt, the rest of the route becomes more apparent. You can use a 60M rope for all the pitches but I would still strongly recommend a 70m rope due to the descent. I would not recommend linking pitches on this climb due to massive rope drag.

3. 6b+ - One of the best routes in the entire city. Be careful with the first two bolts just before the crack.

4. 6c+

Descent beta: rappel normally until pitch 2. This is where having a 70m+ rope or two 60m ropes will come in handy. If you rappel with a 70m rope, you'll land on steep class 2 terrain so make sure you keep your stopper knots tied!!!!

Technical, fingery and very sustained. Direct up the arête is 8a

Crux is at the start. Fully recommend stick clipping. There is a runnout after you get past the first 3-4 bolts so keep climbing confidently straight up.

Start is a little chossy but fun bouldery moves. Gets easier as you get past the overhanging section in the beginning.

Strongly recommend stick clipping since crux is at start.

Same end as Henry's Walk.
