Climbed with an open beer in hand for the entirety of the route. The beer was neither spilled nor put down which i’ve been informed makes the climb Third Class on the YDS grade scale. I therefore propose the grade of 3.9+ as it did have some cruxy sections (for the grade).

Solid leading practice by Joel. Fourth climber was an unwelcome guest with big pincers (and wings!), who made it from the tennis court all the way to the summit cairn (maybe a queen looking to start a new colony on the Pharos - beware!) Fun ramble for sure

Climbed in 4 pitches, started early had shade for pitch 1 and some of 2. Pitch one was a long easy staircase, was unsure if we were exactly on course, or chose the correct belay ledge for the top. The least exciting pitch, with the most exposure. Pitch was more exciting climbing deep into a chest wide crack up and out on the face up to the top. Set up belay on top of cliff and not on the tennis court. Soloed across pretty flat terrain to the start of pitch three. The third pitch was probably the pick of the climb some cool moves and a nice weakness to follow. The last pitch was the shortest, had one gap to step over that added some thrill, when the wind started to gust near the top of the cliff. Climbed over to the top of lamplighter which friends had just finished and we used two ropes to wrap all the way to the bottom.

Surprised by this! Chosen as something easy to do in the heat, ended up being quite a lovely route! The first pitch required some thought, while P3 had a wonderful and unlikely sequence (at the grade) up the overhang. Swung leads with Amanda, who pushed through a bit of fear on the final step across the void.
