Ascents in Northern areas

Ben led this and we thought it was an FA. I pink pointed and my sequence was very different, I had a solid knee bar in from the first move (of course I did) and I felt very secure dragging that back step up the whole way until you can stand for the easy vertical crack part

Tricky slab before regaining some composure at the break and finishing up the bomber jams. 1 pad or 6 pads it's all the same I suspect....I'd give it a 3 but the damp slab may've added a bit.

Such a different style to the stuff we were doing earlier in the day.

A funky start! A small to med cam for the top can't hurt.

Fun enough little feature. Probably hard to find again, but just go to the Blackberry boulders and keep on going up the ridge.

Quite tricky and balancy

Tough, bouldery moves on razor-sharp crystals. I couldn't link the last hard move to the easy top-out into it, though it definitely would have gone with more time (and skin). Thumb-wrap-crimp on a knife-edge crystal to start... now that's just awesome. The FA can go to someone else next year, I suppose.

Short, technical climbing on razor-sharp crystals. Kind of challenging and delicate.

A few challenging moves for the grade. Okay climbing. Not as good as Coff's Roof.

Down climbed to escape the boulder. Unmemorable.

A few features and not too hard. Newbie friendly.

Thinner than Stand & Liver, though no harder. Not a bad newbie boulder. Rock is a bit friable.

Really short, and really sweet. Like the crux move of a 19/20 Friction slab, without the boring other bits.

A bit sketchy in approach shoes, but an okay climb. The flake is totally bomber.

In the dark. Tricky finding those crystals for your feet with a headlamp!

Exciting in hiking boots.

Ticked on the same day it was bolted. You don't often get a sinker handjam on a slab climb. Good fun.
