Ascents of Onions having Beta

Pretty rad line, start do be hard moves after good with a kneebar rest, into a tricky crux with some runouts in my eyes, hopefully come back stronger for it

The very bottom and very top cruxes both felt pretty bloody hard for me! Sussed what could work for both but failed to do the full sequence for either. Can’t believe this used to be 26, felt stiff at 27!

Got it on my second go! First go fell off at the last crux. Tried to do the extention but slipped at the end of the traverse with numb fingers

Draws on and sent next go today. Felt pretty pumped through the top crux but conditions were perfect and managed to hold it together...stoked!

Got through the top crux but pumped out on the easy-ish bit after and punted. Stoked with a new high point! 1 equipping + 1 Redpoint go.

Hesitated on the rail at the start of the last crux and pumped out on the last hard move.. Next time

Couple more attempts in sub optimal conditions. Got the top crux pretty sorted now. Goes pretty well off a sit. Just need a little more fitness and game on!

Managed all the moves on my second burn. Keen to get back on!

3rd shot today, 5th total. Awsome moves through the 2nd half, psyched!

Two goes. If i get the start done well, i think i can do the route.

Great route, top crux goes quite easily with a bit of reach. Got one move away from the the final jug, got to the gaston and was just way too stretched out to pull up, 2 red points, 1 beta scope lap.

Too gassed after Aneurysm to work out the top crux. Keen to get back on to it.

Draws were up, had a play. Felt a little harder than expected. That second crux is so much fun. The top side pulls were tricky. I feel like there would be a lot of beta refinement required for a send.

Yeah buddy!! Two weeks in a row on this! 4 repoints this year but maybe 6 more last year just trying to figure out how not to do the crux!

Man that crux is touch and go!!! Have to have the perfect position!!haha the anchors are in a crazy position!!

Every which way you can climb badly I did it!! Lol but more mental than anything!

Another day another dog, beta refined and I think I might be ready for a redpoint!

After all these years finally had my first play on this well known classic. It did not disapoint! Sorted beta for initial boulder, middle and upper crux. Have to try and not let 3 more years pass for next visit!

Stoked!!! My first 27 in OZ. Tried it already a week ago and came very close in my 3rd go. Since then I kept falling off from the crux under the chains (plus I fucked up the start a few times) and it became kind of a mental battle. Finally got it today (1st shot today, 7th/8th in total). It was a good project to get a little bit back into redpointing. Boulder start, rest, boulder, rest, boulder, top!

First time trying the shared start - little harder than I expected but good fun. Worked out the crux after a few attempts. Didn't have time for a proper attempt but definitely something that I'll come back to.

jumped on that because the draws were on and it looked quite doable. Unfortunately my knee started hurting again, so I left it for another time ^^
