Ascents of Nappy Action having Beta

Solid at 18, cool feature to start then a good assortment of moves throughout!

wasn’t as scary as when i attempted this almost a year ago, maybe because i followed alfie’s beta which wasn’t really in the direct line of bolts

Comitting for a warm up!

straight up fear. found myself either too far left, too far right, or too high up from the last clip. downclimbed a lot to rest. decided to bail near the top at the slopey red sandstone section. the circling flies and sun exposure give it a +5 grade i reckon.

Just an incredibly pumpy climb.

Much nicer than I remembered. Long, quality sustained climbing.

A nice climb. I thought we would just stroll up it for a warm down, but severely underestimated just how tired I already was.

Last climb of the day and arms were jelly

Last time I was here my mental game was not as strong, freaked out and didn’t get to the top. Was nice to come back and feel comfortable on it!

This would have been delightful if not for it being my last climb of the weekend, the bolt spacing and gusty 50km/h+ winds ripping across the face. Two out of three of those things and it still would have been enjoyable. But it was three. And so it wasn't.

A genuinely tough 18 and insanely rewarding. Runout spacing, even at the crux, with an insane backdrop over the valley means this seriously gets the adrenaline pumping. MUST DO for the Blueys.

Some hard moves for 18, would swap the grades of this and Captain Hook. Rpt

Warm up and good to lead it this time, felt nicer then seconding

Top rope to clean, surprisingly hard

Slopey as the rolling medows of the blueis on the final third of climb

Seemed like a few route direction choices. Not sure which was the best

Couldn’t feel my fingers in the cold...well, that’s my excuse anyway .

Just a good fun route. Challenging for the grade and sustained.

Steep. bolts seem to force the line a tad.

All climbing should be like this. Excellent climb... nice moves all the way. Spicy separation between bolts may intimidate you a bit

Really enjoyed this climb. Nothing but but consistent from start to finish on great rock.

Excellent climbing on beautiful edges, with just enough crimpy moves to keep you thinking. Moves around through some great features. Worth an extra star.

Really enjoyable climbing and the most consistent one of the day. Dad and Matt both flashed on lead.

Sustained and somehow slightly unnerving.

Hard for 18

Harder than 18 for sure. Putting draws on. My favourite part was the mantle. Lots of varied climbing

Quite sustained at the grade and much spicier then the other 18s on this wall with more space between bolts.

Easily the best climb of the day with the grading quite a contrast to the newer routes on the wall.
