Great pitch - very exposed. Climbing is interesting the whole way and very sustained. Rock isn't perfect, but that's the nature of the sea cliffs. Thanks, Chris for the tour guide

Nice climbing and well bolted.

18 | Beyond the Edge of Reason - with Sarah Groth | 40m
Ground up onsight first ascent. Cool adventure to kayak to the base and get up to the glorious edge of reason. This pitch however was loose, sketchy and sandier than Arrakis

25 | ★★★ The Edge of Reason | 30m, 9
Climbed a choss first pitch from the ground (kayak access) would name that pitch beyond the edge of reason, wouldn’t recommend. Edge of reason however is incredible

The second to the best belay station so far! (The best is the belay for the totem pole dah.) It positions in the middle of a high sea cliff overlooking the cliff/coastlines and providing a glimpse of Moai. Magical.
The route is great but with a fair bit of loose rock atm. At one point I felt a foothold crumbling beneath me so I panically grabbed another hand hold only to have it blew off, sending me barn door widely. Cool experience though!

22 | ★★ The Salty Swine - with Chris Lang | 50m | ★★ Very Good
FA with Langy. Really great crack climbing up a king line. Both pitches are awesome but the sustained finger jamming into sustained stemming on the second pitch takes the cake.
|
|||||||
17 Hard | ★★★ The Pud Life - with Chris Lang | 30m | ★★★ Classic
FA with Langy. Brilliant climbing and incredibly unlikely traverse off the belay. I'd love to be a fly on the wall seeing people on-sighting this. Probably the best 17 on the peninsula (at the top of the grade).
|
|||||||
25 | ★★★ The Edge of Reason - with Chris Lang | 30m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
FA with Langy. More like 24A0 for me on second. Crux is a little out of reach for me grade wise at the moment. Absolutely incredible position and climbing. Very sustained and technical. Classic!

23 | ★ The Secret Ingredient is Crime - with Chris Lang | 25m, 11 | ★ Good
FA with Langy. First crux off the belay is unlikely and highly engaging! Climbs really well. 1.5 stars really!

25 Easy | ★★★ The Edge of Reason - with Chris Speer | 30m, 9 | ★★★ Mega Classic
Epic positioning. Maybe 25/26, and bolts at the crux reduce stress.

Great route! 1.5 stars I reckon

Pretty gripped, was certainly an experience! Didn't have to lead the ballsy first pitch, with a crux
mega whipper. Langy fell for a long time.

Great climbing, definite sandbag now; a friend told me a jug broke off from the P2 crux a while back, I'd say 25 now.
Carrots are bomber - took two mega test falls on one and it held up fine. The lowest of the belay anchors are rusted, but since it's easy climbing there it's not a big deal. |

Very exciting multi, maybe the best multi ive done! Carrots made it all the better. Nearly got the entire route onaight but took a big whipper on the runout to the belay of much like yesterday on the maoi, slipped on the final jug. So intense. All you need to do the route is .4,.5 & .75 as described. Nut/rock not so neccesary.
