Climb 15 of 50. A tricky start. Otherwise nice climbing, although some marginal placements make for a sometimes daunting experience, especially the pitch 2 run out to the anchors. Had a bit of fun adding a 3rd pitch, though the climbing on P3 is somewhat spoiled by the 10m of bush bashing.

had to downclimb and redo the bottom section to get to the first bolt. some good placements and others marginal. Tried second pitch but felt that a long strech (~10m) without at least a good placement was not worth a try with my current physical and mental condition, as I also could not see the so called jug with a bolt close to it from where I was. Views are nice and it is a humbling route. I look forward to come back and do the second with with more confidence.

P1: Hard starting moves before quite high first opportunity to place protection. The rest of P1 isn't terrible, as there are some reasonable pieces to place. But still scary for a 14. Holds also breaking off the wall. Some interesting moves. Seconded P1 cleanly, but would not have wanted to lead it. P2: The second pitch is nuts, at least 10m runout with no obvious opportunity to place protection after the first few meters. Must be super confident on slab at a few grades above 15 before attempting this dangerous climb for the grade. Big retreat from us.

Deserves a star. Cool face moves and pretty good protection. Delicate footwork.
I think it could be 15. Mr Carter must have been a wizard on the slab with some of these original grades. |

Debbie chose this one as her 2nd lead & got a mouthful. Just getting the 1st bolt is pretty scary. The thin finish & hot afternoon rock didn't help, but she got there in the end. Very nice lead at her limit I'd say. 15.1.2005 We jumped on this one, aftrer it stopped raining & the rock had dried a little. Dave started on the wrong side (R) which made for a mini epic clipping the 1st bolt. It's a 13 in the guide (bit stiff for the grade) - a nice lead for beginners - 1P with a 60 rope.
