Summary

Duck Reach has some really good quality boulder problems of all grades and still has some potential for more problems.

Access issues

Access is no problem unless the water is very high.

Approach

Park as for the access to the old Duck Reach Power Station. From here walk down to the suspension bridge and turn down the steep steps leading you down into the riverbed just before you reach the bridge. From here, most currently developed bouldering is located upstream of the suspension bridge

Ethic inherited from Tasmania

  • The operation and use of drones by park visitors on reserved land including national parks is not permitted.

  • Please note that Tasmania has notoriously patchy phone reception for particular service providers. Telstra is the most reliable. An emergency Personal Locator Beacon or similar is recommended kit when climbing in remote locations.
