The last light no spot solo session won’t be for everyone... but it was simply amazing for me. One of the best anywhere.

Argh... first session on the crux traverse and did that several times. Kept muffing the micro beta such that when I made it to the top of the arete my refrain of “I’m confident I won’t fall from there” just whistled through my ears as I plummeted off in fatigue. Oh well. All good training. Fresh arms and connected neutrons should do the trick!

Fairly contrived. Not easy at on the upper Arete. Would be easy to get hurt in this one.

Neither 3 stars nor V4 (3?)... but fun enough.

Second shot. Pretty cool. The rock up here is amazing and yet all the problems except Crown Jewel still seem a bit middling. Crown Jewel on the other hand is epic... clearly, well, the crown jewel!

Contrived to stay off the slab feet at start but cool moves. Second shot.

Quick TR as the rain made the slopes fairly unmanageable. Climbed to top from right hand gaston... so rally only 2 moves at the start to link it. Very cool and yes boys... would be a bit sketch solo!

Would be a bit humbling falling off holds this big! And yet strangely possible. Crux first move.

2nd go. Trickery for the feet.

All moves sorted now and linked in two sections on the rope. Need to get back with a pad stack. Colder weather helps!

Likely just a subtle variant of now trending, but the move from low up into the crack is fantastic, probably justifies its own line.

Some neat moves on this, great for such a short problem.

Climbs very well. A great line in its own right.

Pretty big RH move up to the lip from a left heel. Definitely easier for the tall. Graded it V5 because climbing should be more inclusive sometimes.

Great moves. A shame it is a little sharp.

Refined the beta. It would help if I could lockoff a bit harder. Lockdown has made me a bit weak. Great line!

Great line, quite compressy. Got all the moves pretty quickly but ran out of juice.

Felt pretty damned hard for a V2 (getting off the floor and the top-out). Fairly nice climb regardless.

First foray into crack climbing... a lot harder and scarier than expected. Downclimbed from near the top on flash go because got spooked when crack got wider.

Lovely climbing. Test of my out-of-practice mental game with the landing though.
