Routes in Northwest Slopes and plains for selected grade

On the opposite side of the canyon from the cave, a short sport climb up the arete.

Even more indirect than The Lorelei. Lots of traversing and a great last pitch.

1. 26m As for 'The Lorelei' but keep traversing to belay on the gum tree.

2. 15m Straight up the wall above the tree to a cracker (nut) belay at the blocks at the base of 'the prow'.

3. 40m A gently rising traverse left past clean corner on pitch 3) of The Lorelei to base of headwall.

4. 34m Semi-hand-traverse up left along cracked, along and down a little until the headwall relents to a juggy, brown wall. 8m up to small ledge.

5. 45m Up and right on mosaic wall to very exposed arete. Up arete, corner on right and right wall.

Initialled. Crack line 2m R of WL. Through overhanging chimney.

Start: The corner a few metres left of 'Abbey Road'.

Up.

Start: 12m right of 'The Crescent'.

1. 30m (15) (crux) Pull up through overhang then up corner to vertical wall. Up left over the arete and step left into jamb crack to the right of the vines.

2. 15m (-) Across bridge to main summit

Start: On the SE face about 60m left of 'Learner's Permit' near two gum trees with holes burnt in them.

1. 33m (-) Up short wall, over grassy terrace and wander up staircase to ledge.

2. 33m (-) Step right and up wall. Follow ramp left to ledge.

3. 17m (15) (crux) Up right hand crack.

A Variant start to Fast Breeder. Start on alcove 10m down the L of FB at end of terrace. Step out L and climb nose to sloping roof. Traverse down and round into the unknown - an exposed line of loose blocks with poor pro. Carefully up 4m, then R onto good rock. Up R, up buttress to ledge on FB pitch 1.

Up knobs then the thin crack which starts at about 3m high.

Beginner offwidthing. Go left before bulge and up to off-width pillar. Remember to grunt a lot.

The stepped appearing crack just left of a pillar of stacked blocks, and 4 m right of Arete. Good gear throughout RPs to #3. At half height the angle eases and vegetation increases. Trend left to top via a slabby hand crack. Trad belay. Alternatively at 15 m, traverse 3m left to anchors and abseil.

4m right of Linfox and it's marking tree is a blunt arête that is undercut just above the ground. Start just left then move right up arête which sports a thin crack and straight up with gear to #3. Belay/ rap off white gum tree at top of route, about 6 m below top of cliff.

Start 30m right of BOB, just right of a mossy groove with a eucalyptus 1 m from the cliff. Take the hand crack to a small overlap stepping left to offwidth, gear to #6

Easy highball. Start in corner at the end of Traverse. Up dynamicly on widely spaced edges

Flake taking gear to same bolts as MYM

Two obvious crimps to stand start, move up and exit to the right with plenty of holds to choose from. Down climb over the back of boulder near tree, lower to hand holds in dish feature and drop to ground.

This will get better after a clean, up using the flake and the crack

Mantle onto the ledge, then mantle to top out.

Start at the left very mossy end, launch onto mantle. move right till the corner and top out.

Sit start

Flat wall side of the boulder, to the top hill side has obvious features but is very crumbly.

On the north end of the wall under the dihedral, has the best holds on the whole wall.

Up the side of the south side using undercling and side pull.

Right to left traverse using the horizontal crack

Right of the crack, one foot right on the end use the corner on the left and up

Sit start, traverse right, stand up on the horizontal crack, and top out on either of the boulders. Strong but easy.

Sit start if your bored, up right to the top of the crack top out between or on either boulder.

On the small boulder between the two, avoid the boulder behind you. Sharp and crimpy.

Sit Start pull onto the lower edge. up via some crimpers with a slopey mantle.

sit start at bottom of fracture. Left up crack, traverse left using the mantle as hands. Presently very mossy and slippery. Watch for lose blocks! Death spike at the bottom will be removed.

west side of the boulder crumbly but makes up for it with options

Stand start using the arete and crimps on the face, high feet. This is the standing start of True Grit.

simple layback and smear, a spotter and a couple pads will be needed

Feet are a mixture of smear and small crystal edges, and for hands use the undercling and start of crack.

Use crack on left and jug on right

left side of boulder, crimp to nice jug and up.

Start with the undercling, move right and up.

Pull up on those jugs smear or use any feet you can find. Once you establish that side pull its over.

Up the small crimps to horizontal crack, very little on top

Up the obvious crack

Left hand crack. Use the face holds and Mr Koochew will be angry.
