Open area bouldering with great views
Varies boulders sitting a top a mountain of open plain granite. This area is overlooking the Passchendaele State Forest. Great views and exposure.
This is private land so you must let the owners know you are coming. Go through the Foxbar Falls camping website. This is also an active farm so give way to any workers or work vehicles in the area. And be nice. The owners are friendly and happy for people to explore and enjoy their land.
Get onto Harslett Rd and continue about 2km along the road past a few fields until you get to a large onion field. As soon as you reach this field stop at what looks like a dirt round about. There is a slight clearing leading into the bush just left of this dirt area head in there about 20meters and park next to the old stone fire pit. From here walk south through the bush and up the awesome rock plain to the top of the mountain.
The same as every location. Try to leave minimal impact of the area, bush, boulders and animals alike. Don't leave any rubbish and try only to clean holds needed. No bolting.
This area has been in the Harslett Family for generations so PLEASE respect their rules. As the area is also a memorial.
