Ascents in Tasmania by Michael Lehmann having trad-cpr or ascent-date

Diabolically technical! Cleaned and inspected it on rap before going for it on frothy's gear and draws. Had to use every trick in the book to get up it. What a mega line!!

Highly technical and insecure grade 23 movement, made easier with a rest after the mantle. Route was graded 24 for the exposure and seriousness of a potential fall. The arete was climbed onsight with a piece of 8mm chord thrown around the bottom of pillar from FOTR.

Yieww!! Had a mega day, insanely stoked to finally get on this. Definitely not as hard as I thought it would be, pretty sustained through the middle pitches. Linked a few pitches for full value!

Would be content to never come back for this one, top 10m was soaked from seep. Somehow didn't fall.

Night sendies! Oh so atmospheric, cold rock, after glow of light from town and live music drifting on the breeze. One of the most pleasant climbing experiences I've had in Tassie. Went second go, bloody exciting reading moves with a head torch. Plenty of rest stances, probably soft at the grade.

Another lead in bad conditions, wondering if I'll ever see the bottom free of spooge. Climbed clean to the crux and couldn't hold the slopers in full sun. Another time perhaps!

Gassed eod, got to the top but didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.

Two big whippas, so, so wet! Condi's are a massive crux for this route.

Onsight was in 50km sw wind, full value!

Run out start, then well protected and super techy.

FFA. Probably the best route I've climbed as an fa, stellar line, brilliant movement and bomber gear. What more could you ask for! Sequences seemed quite hard initially, Wasn't sure if it would go so pre-placed gear on lead and it was easier than I thought. Still a pumpy number, would be a hard one to onsight ground up.

Stellar! Classiest climb on the cliff imo.

Climbed as an escape route on small cams, should have brought bigger ones!

Super fun

Climbed directly from the Mike law variant. Annoyed I blew the onsight, kept slipping with wet feet and hands, took a couple of big whips onto the belay. The exposure at the crux is full value adventure trad!

Hard at 18, suuuper rad!

FFA. Can't believe we actually got up it! Was doing movement much harder than the grade route finding gear and holds on the steep pitch. Sandbagged myself climbing upwards into grade 23 territory with no gear or holds at the final traverse. Had to down climb and make a very tenuous hanging belay. Words can't describe how much exposure there is on the arete! The smeary feet and progressively thinner, pumpier under clings add to the atmosphere! The easy climbing after has 3 star exposure but is pretty run out. Would give the route more stars but don't want to draw traffic. Rock quality was bloody good overall, Some of the holds and gear in the flakes where uncertain. A fall at any point on the climb could have high consequences.

Linked in two sections, got all the moves dialled. Need to sort the pre-rack and tie in for the lead!

Diabolically technical! Sacrificed some skin finding dyno beta. The final move mantling the hanging off-width is mental! Feels low percentage and condition dependant. Going to go for the link next session.

Slipped a few times in slimy crack at the start, well protected. Was nice climbing past ledge.

Stoked to get back on this after a year! Good working session, likely needs a bolt under the first roof and another in the flakes above the second roof. Would be extremely bold on gear, the hardest moves are poorly protected with a very dangerous fall.

Also insanely good. A gift that keeps giving. I can't crack climb so it felt a lot more technical than it should have.

FFA. Stoked the line goes direct, bloody good climbing. Potentially massive airtime, spicy run outs above small gear with 100m of exposure. Go direct at the crux at the top for the full flavour.

Warm up, thought this was the 14. Old school climbing, enjoyable in moments.

Quite run out, nice balancy moves over a flake. Hardest trad lead!! Woo

Went a bit left at the arete, was stoked with a no rest ascent!

Bad conditions, sussed the moves. Gear looks extremely run out through the first roof. Fortunately there's plenty of space to fall into! Not sure if I can pull the roof, the first overlap looks at least V6.

FA, for the full value climb when wet. Probably the shittest chimney I've ever climbed. linked as single pitch, some run outs on the second pitch.

Did a huge run out going direct up the arete, rock was dirty but the movement was great with lots of exposure!

Lead, then down climb back cleaned.

Seconded Pauly on the first ascent. An incredibly varied classy pitch!

First 3 ish pitches? We linked a few so was hard to tell. Enjoyable climbing with spicey protection.

Pretty rad climb, very chossy before the ledge. Took a lot longer than we expected

Repelled down the top pitch to suss out the totem then rope soloed back up the 18.

FFA. Accessing the highline rig, fun route! Just enough pro and some dubious rock made the line quite engaging.

Placed 2 pieces of gear on the whole climb, may as well tick it as a solo. So! Good!
