Description

Blank and not as well featured as Harvey's Marbles; instead of 30 lines, you only have a few problems per boulder. However, there's plenty of boulders in a small vacinity.

Access issues inherited from Townsville

Most areas are free to access to the public, some are closed for short times during the year due to car, bike and running races and other events such as flooding, bushfires or landslides after heavy rain but they will open again soon after.

Ethic

Do not climb on or near any boulders with aboriginal paintings. Be careful with your chalk dust.

History

History timeline chart

The area is believed to be first climbed by a core group of geology students and staff (including Eric Roberts). They bolted the first sport route in the area and put up a fair few boulder problems.

Grade Route

A large boulder broken in two.

Start via stemming and continue up the layback to finish at a DRB.

FA: Eric Roberts?

Starting on the other end of the split from Sliced. If your knee or elbow goes over the lip, you are not doing the intended route.

FFA: Jack Heenan, 30 May

Mantle over the lip at the 8th bolt of Chopped for a short version

FA: Jack Heenan & Eric Roberts, 22 May

A well featured course granite boulder.

Up the obvious route via good holds. This is also the easiest way to descend the boulder. Sit start for a harder problem.

FA: Luen Warneke, 24 Aug 2018
