Climbing on the southern slope of the Kummenbergs with remarkable infrastructure. The former quarry, also known as climbing Winkla. Established by the Austrian army for training purposes and serves as a consequence of the PES section Hohenems. Some Route names are written, which greatly facilitates the orientation.
The front part of Koblach climbing garden is ideal for a family outing. There is also a handball court and large space between the trees and barbecue is available.
After rain, the front high range is dries quickly. On sunny summer days can it be unbearably hot. Then you are better off having a picnic at the shady barbecue and waiting for the cool evening hours.
But also for the strong climber there is plenty to do. The upper band has many smaller sectors lined with a large route offers middle difficulty climbs. Here one has his calm before the family bustle around the barbecue.
