Ascents of West Ridge having Beta

Simuled the whole thing. Would free solo next time!

Solo climbed. With one 15m pitch through the crux.

Simul-climbed with a total of 5 pieces places. Lots of variation, fun climb with phenomenal views. Downclimbing in rock shoes was less enjoyable

We did a mix of Simul climbing and short ropeing on the west ridge. lots of easy places to stop and belay off horns. used a 2,1 and .75 to protect the downclimb off the 3'd peak.

Was attempting Howser tower. Weather turned us around so we went for a romp up this. A fun/cruisy day out with incredible views

Best 5.4 in the world isn't an understatement! Simul up and down with a single + #0.4-#1. Worth bringing the larger (#1-2-3) gear if simuling the whole way.

Brendan and I both wanted to do this because 1) It's classic and 2) we both want to bring our fiances up here to experience this. Simul-climbed the whole thing in 2 hours col to col in our mountaineering boots. Super fun and great views the whole day.
