A less frequented crag in the YK area focused on a North/South ridge line along the West shore of Backbay. Potential for additional bolted routes as well as some interesting bouldering.

One of the more picturesque crags in the YK area. Two main routes established include a crack slab, and a vertical with slight overhanging areas which begins with the option of some chimney climbing. Careful when tossing rope/rappelling as there is a large flake at bottom towards the left where rope can become snagged.

Park at the ski club. Take the bunny trail to the second hydro pole, then turn right and follow the "H" trail to find the ridge line area where the established routes are located. Look for the anchor bolts to rap down.

Pack out any garbage.

History timeline chart

The information of which routes are which has been lost. Original route names in this area were: Long Trip, Bismarck, French Cat, Jolie Dalle, and Canadien. It is unclear where additional named routes were. I have assigned "Long Trip" and "Bismarck" to the two existing bolted routes.

Grade Route

Nice long thin crack angling from right to left. Unfortunately broken up by a mid-point ledge. Relatively long route. Slab angle makes it fairly beginner friendly for new crack or lead climbers to learn on.

Begin inside the cleft created by the large flake and climb up the "chimney" section towards the thin crack in the upper slab. Beware loose rocks as this area is low traffic, and the rock is fairly chossy along the entire ridgeline.
