I saved this one for the end of the season. The last “mega classic” 12b in the valley for me. I went out this season to tick all the best 12b’s I’ve heard from everyone and this was the last one. 2 shots!!! No send but 5th day on. Draws up!! I think it’s a very good route, but to me, there’s better such as Power Of Youth and Carnal Prayer Mat !

Pretty cool to try Gregs new route! It's pretty insane. The first 4 bolts are like 11A climbing into a 11d move. A hard crux over the first overlap- like 12b gains a wicked fat flake feature. I was the one to find a shoulder rest in it... no-hands! Then get ready for a crazy traverse on bad underclings and just miserable miserable feet. A big lock off to a terrible side pull and a sequential Boulder problem follows. It's actually dead vertical also! So pretty unique! Greg calls is 13A/B slab! Haha. And I did all the moves which was pretty wicked!!! Fun process

Got the beta from the boss. What an incredible route. Very goey and tons of power of small pockets. The first Boulder problem is harddddd. The rest is ok and much needed, then the top Boulder problem is beautiful, but would be mega hard being a shorty. I was completely outstretched stabbing for the 2 finger sinker. Rad. My draws are up!

What a GREAT new route, at the technical walls of The Shield. Love the huge rest half way and KneeBar/scum. The top couple bolts (crux) is a huge static move to a tiny pinch ( with a insecure left foot) for sure with that much pump itll be a battle. But did all the moves today. This ones gonna take work, because it is Power Endurance, just like Power Of Youth. I know I can put it down, but of corse, with a fight. Syked

What an adventure to send this Sustained, beauty. This route taught me many lessons in my climbing. The most important being if you 1-hang a route, it means absolutely nothing, because you can 1-hang something for along time. So grateful for a epic Rememberance day with the best crew. Thanks so much to G-Tos for the beta and catches. Technical power endurance on beautiful stone. Love it. First of the grade and so Syked !!

Kinda bummed I couldn't feel my fingers at all and fell above the crux but this is redpoint life, especially climbing in +3C. Kept me motivated that everyone said I am Climbing it well. Especially from the route developer! But this is the art of projecting and I love this route. So draws up till it goes. I have this rig and its 6 mini cruxes dialed.

The Lookout (shield sector) stays dry when it's storming snow. I've seen people throw around the term Mega-Classic for routes like Meathooks or Wicked Gravity; blah blah blah those routes don't even climb as well as the first 3 bolts of this rig. Powerful, extremely technical and just a power-endurance test piece for the grade......and such a classy climb. One hang and I have Gregs beta (there is so much) dialed.
