On speaking with locals from San Pedro De Atacama, they encourage all climbers to ask permission from the Socaire locals. If treated with respect, the village is happy for climbers to continue visiting the crag, unlike at Tocanao where access has been removed. Please follow this simple guideline to ensure climbing remains open for local climbers and international visitors alike. Pack your trash out, as usual.
