Choachi is a beautiful climbing area in development. It is maybe the closest climbing area to Bogota. You will find routes that will suit beginners and also long overhanging routes.

Beautiful scenery with immense waterfalls surrounding you. Including the tallest waterfall in Colombia

Access issues

Parts of the access have been contested by local farmers so be careful where you go. You will have to pay 7000 to climb at the main area and 5000 to park.

Nice juggy slab with a lot of holds. Be careful not to belay from the ground, there is a little rope to climb on the left of the route. You can set a little station around a tree.

Technical slab with a lot of different hand holds, good feet and one cool move out of the roof.

A really nice but dusty crack.Goes from hand jam to a great offwidth finish. But it is very 3 dimensional so you don't have to crack climb it if you don't want to. Bring BD friends from .75 to 4 (or two) or even 5 if you got it. ( I don't know the actual name of assigned grade of the route, please correct it if you know)
