Description

The Frauenholz area consists of several, partly scattered massifs and peaks. The "Butterfässer" and "Himmelhunde" lie in the dense spruce forest and therefore stay wet longer after rain. The basic protection is provided by bolts - wowever, nuts and friends are still necessary. Some of the climbs have no anchors. Difficulties range from UIAA 2 to 8.

Access issues inherited from Germany

Covid 19: Please note that each federal state has its own rules about Covid 19!

Approach

To the "Butterfässern", "Himmelhunden" and the Schokoladefelsen from the B101 coming in Wiesenbad on the Talstraße branch off. After a very long right turn there are parking possibilities for 2 vehicles.

For the Himmelmühlenwand at the entrance to Wiesenbad turn in a curve towards the restaurant Himmelmühle and park there. Follow the hiking trail for about 1 km to the first rocks.
