King line in the cave! Props to the FA-er! 3 sessions in 3 trips this year! 1st session in 60% humidity amd rain i couldn't even get it in 3 parts and only got the moves. 2nd session i fell from the swing to the final jug. 3rd session i literally made a 15cm change of a foothold on the Pueblo part and this made the boulder feel easy rather than super hard. It was a hold i didnt need to use for Pueblo )) what a nice learning curve! So hard to grade this as well... The roof is 4 tensiony hand moves of maybe 6B/C, then you go to the transition to Pueblo -6 HUGE powerful moves on massive jugs - maybe 6B, and then you do Pueblo without the jugs with a hard swing at the end, 9 hand moves maybe 7A (given that Pueblo is very low end 7A). Zero rest or shakeouts. Does this make 7B+? No idea. Im a sport climber so i had no issues with endurance and there are no hard moves. I needed a lot more attempts on Bongo Bennie which i personally consider 7B. This isnt one grade harder for me. Also last weekend i got demolished on a few 7Bs in FB... Ill tentatively go for 7B as it feels right for now.

First 7B outside! 8 hard hand moves with lots of specific foot placements. VERY nice problem with practically no eliminates, which is so nice! Took quite a few tries over a session but all in all went down fast + i did it in 28c so I don't think this is 7B+

A fantastic test of body tension and heelhooking. Staring was pretty tough as well as the last move where my heel did pop... in the end i got the boulder with no feet cutting! Now on to n2 and then the kingline

Before the send i tried this line maybe on 5 6 other trips always at the end and always tired. Over the sessions it felt progressively better, starting from totally impossible to even get my leg up, to trying impossible ideas, to declaring it "hard for tall people", to sticking the lip in the rain and to falling AFTER the move. Today i approached it seriously, fresh and in perfect conditions and i got it 5th try statically and with full control! Favourite line in Avalonia! Agree with 7A+

Im never 100% sure about the routes in Avalonia coz of the many eliminates... here i only could see one video and my beta was slightly different but i think the difficulty is the same or thereabouts. Not much harder than Cloè but more technical, smaller holds and a bit longer. Lower end 7A+ maybe. Very nice line in any case

One of the 2 epic no eliminates 7A in the cave. More agro than Pueblo and so easier for me. Only one small hold.

UPDATE: after finishing a few other lines in the cave im inclined to say that the linkup doesn't add up much difficulty to what feels like a low end 7A (Pueblo). The moves on other 7A+ in the area are significantly harder (Nikita, Oma, Ölkrise 1, etc). Ill go for 7A therefore. Its one of the best and most logical lines in the Cave for sure!

Wow what a line! Did it with a right heel and then match and felt extremely hard and desperate! So far the best sequence ive done in Avalonia!!

That actually took me like 7 8 serious attempts in 2 sessions until done! Fell off the last move 3 times.... In the end i slightly dabbed the left wall but whatever its a mega classic indeed despite the total lack of clarty what you can and cannot use. Eventually ill do Nikita proper too.

Worked the moves and almost did it 1st go but fell due to a lack of commitment. Solid 2nd go. I tried it and failed some years ago. Feels stiff for the grade!

Amazing traverse with a cool right heelhook sequence. Took 3 4 tries!

Very cool monster 1st move and then a "pure" option with a swing (per video on youtube) or much easier high feet tension version. Did both but with a small dab on the pure one.

Without the chossy feet below. Start with a heel toe jam. Mega nice hidden line!

Did it like 7 8 times working the moves of Little Nikita as this is the exit. Not sure if you can use that single foothold to the right so at the end i just jumped from the two cirmps.

Super long move from the knee and a campus sequence after makes it rather hard for 6b+ imo, but stellar line with a topout anyways

I dont intend to sound arrogant here, but if you imagine what this "7A" would get in FB it would probably be a 4+ or a 5. I also managed it statically with a heelhook:) . The mantle is nice at least id say 6A for my height and span. Maybe 6B for short ppl.

Very cool dyno. Got it with both hands. Looks impossible but the angle is great. not as hard as it looks.

U need the topo as its a very specific handhold elimination. Feet anywhere. I rly liked it!
