The "Kleiner Berg" is a forested hill south of Hohburg. On the crest you can inspect some rock faces with glacial polish from the last ice age. The polish is also present on the small outcroppings and blocs lining the eastern ridge which form the bouldering sectors, giving rise to some interesting sloper problems.
Due to (among other things) the closure of "Schwarze Wand" and "Zinkenberg" and the increased popularity of outdoor climbing, there have been access conflicts concerning the remaining quarries. Please behave considerately and respect local rules and restrictions to ensure that this area remains accessible!
Can easily be reached by train & bike via Wurzen (16min train ride from Leipzig Hbf, 7km ride on mostly bike paths)
When approaching by car, please use the designated parking spot by the sports field.
Parking : (51.407276, 12.803300)
The flora and fauna on the hill has protected status, so stay on the trails and leave no trace.
