Description

Small sector with easy routes on a low wall. Quite popular for climbing courses and groups with kids. Top roping possible (at least the routes inside the "Kessel").

Access issues inherited from Frankenjura

Frankenjura has an established zone concept regulating whether a rock is allowed and if yes, how: https://ig-klettern.org/naturschutz/zonierungen/

For seasonal closures of crags, see: https://ig-klettern.org/naturschutz/aktuelle-sperrungen/

For bouldering, check first: https://ig-klettern.org/klettern/wissenswertes/boulderappell/. Especially, no publishing of boulders, and no bouldering after sunset.

Ethic inherited from Konstein

see Südliche Fränkische Alb / Südlicher Frankenjura for Info.

Set: C. Schmidt

Route for gaining first climbing experiences. But: only one bolt right before the anchor, and there also not easy for smaller kids.

Easy beginner's route on big holds and footholds. Good for learning how to use trad gear.

Up the wall on big jugs, slightly leftwards in the upper part avoiding the right crack / dihedral.

Follow the left leaning crack.

Easy towards the obvious overhand and over it with a few hard pulls to some big jugs above.

Sustained technically demanding climb. Only 6+ when climbing directly in the bolt line and not right of it.

Set: D. Gebel

Well, the easier right version of The Sign.
