Approach

Drive from Pottenstein towards Behringersmühle. When you see the first houses of Behringersmühle (about 300m before), there is a parking spot on the right that suits 2 cars. If this is already full, drive into Behringersmühle and park there. Walk up the little path opposite the parking to reach "Dornröschenwand". Follow the path in front of it to the left for about 400m, where a small path branches off to the right, which leads to the crag in 50m. GPS: 11.35071, 49.78486

  • Park considerately (tractor should be able to pass also at the weekend).
  • Smoking in the forests is forbidden from March 1 until October 31 by law.
  • No publishing of boulder blocks.

It's climbable without additional protection, some wires will make it safer, though. An excellent climb, a corner crack everyone should try.

Sustained on lovely rock, one of the best 7a's in Franken.

FFA: Klemens Nicklaus, 1989

Not as sustained as its neighbour, but still great climbing!
