Solid 18-30m wall, high above the town of Oberammergau, with fun climbs ranging from easy 4s all the way to 9-.
The wall is comprised of lime stone and tends to be fairly sturdy although there may be the occasional rockfall. While on the ground, you spend most of your time on a narrow ledge with a steep drop off in the back. This is also where you belay from.
Park on the parking spot of the Oberammergau cemetery. From here you follow the "Grottenweg" into the forest. You stay on this path for approximately 500 meters, until you get into a patch of coniferous forests, with the wall beginning to come into view high above you on your left side.
There is a small trail - the Marxersteig - leading away from the path (left), up the hillside towards the wall. Follow this trail up the hillside until you get to a ladder.
From here you follow the ladder and ropes, leading you to the Norwegerwand. You really cannot miss it. Once you pass the warning sign for moose-crossings (no worries, it's fake), you have arrived.
