Sport and mixed routes in solid Gneiss
The "Wolkensteiner Schweiz" comprises a couple of Gneiss outcrops with routes up to 30 m high. Most faces are, however, heavily dissected. Protection is usually good with new bolts or glue-ins, but carrying a rack makes sense in some routes.
Parking is possible on both sides of the stone bridge. The northwestern rock faces can be reached via a rope-secured path, which begins directly behind the Mühlgraben and climbs steeply to the left.
The three southeast facing rocks are best reached via the hiking trail to "Anton-Günther-Höhe". This begins approx. 50m to the right behind the stone bridge in the direction of Wolkenstein.
No chalk allowed.
Did you know that you can create an account to record, track and share your climbing ascents? Thousands of climbers are already doing this.
