Description

The sector that connects "Las Chocolatadas" with "La Vertical" just right from "El Culto".

Ethic inherited from Cerro Quemado

Many of the routes were developed by (very few) local climbers. Climbing in Guatemala is not well established and it is hard to find gear and material. Bring some if you pass by and make sure it makes it to the local, very friendly climbing community.

Grade Route

Short, crimpy boulder problem. Sharp holds, nice moves.

Set: Miguel Arango

Goes up the obvious crack to a bolted anchor. Can set a TR by walking around.

Set: Cameron Smith & Miguel Arango

Cool route with some interesting moves.

Maint: Álvaro Hernández Lacayo & Renee Ruano

Set: Miguel Arango

Left around the corner from the arete. Grading does not include use of the arete.

Set: Miguel Arango

Shares the same bolts as "LNFS" but uses the arete for the entire duration of the route. There used to be a lower reunion, the grade up to this point was 5.9. Now the reunion is higher and requires a technical crux move, increasing the grade.

Set: Miguel Arango

Technical face climb without use of the arete, until the final move just below the anchor.

Set: Miguel Arango

Nice technical face. Grading doesn't allow use of the crack.

Set: Miguel Arango

The obvious crack on the right face of the arete.

Set: Miguel Arango
