Vado di Sole Rock climbing 2 routes in crag

A bouldering area with about thirty blocks, located on the eastern edge of the Campo Imperatore plain. The "di Sole" pass marks the border with the province of Pescara. Unlike the other areas, it is not immersed between rock and high peaks, but it is right on the edge of the Gran Sasso chain, in an area where you must know how to find the rock!

The climbing area enjoys an exceptional view over the plain of Campo Imperatore, a real postcard of the Gran Sasso! The exposure is south, and despite the altitude (1700m above sea level), sun and snow permitting, it is climbable until the beginning of winter.

The area also hosts a cliff, a few hundred meters from the blocks, which remained hidden by the beech forest until May 2010 when the first route "Aunt Esterina" was bolted.
