Banzai Wall Guide

A Crag Guide gives an extensive view of all sub areas and climbs at a point in the index. It shows a snapshot of the index heirachy, up to 300 climbs (or areas) on a single web page. It shows selected comments climbers have made on a recently submitted ascent.

At a minor crag level this should be suitable for printing and taking with you on a climbing trip as an adjunct to your guidebook.

This guide was generated anonymously. Login to show your logged ascents against each route.

access issues

Aling Normas is a food stall where every visiting climber eats. Register here, ask for the logbook and write down your name and destination and messages for friends who will be late to arrive. Settle the PhP 300 fee per group of 10 or less. Additional PhP 20 per head applies for the succeeding number of climbers. This goes to the local government for maintenance and security of the area. P20 for parking if you have a private vehicle but remeber the attendants name that you paid so you dont pay twice. Once you cross the bridge make a donation to the locals on the trail head in the village, PhP 15-20. (This donation comes and goes and isn't official)

inherited from Wawa - Montalban

approach

From Aling Norma's follow the road towards the damm until you hit the second hanging bridge, which is currently closed. Instead, cross the river on the boulders and hike up to the big wall in front. The routes are on the right from the hanging bridge.

ethic

Trad, sport climbing and bouldering.

6 Groove

An area classic bolted in the 90's. Shares first 3 bolts with CTHD, then traverses right onto the slab. Pumpy up the tuffa, crux on the face. Can also be climbed as first pitch to CTHD. There is a harder variation, starting slightly to the right, an unfinished project (named "Mirror" - for a reason).

FR:7b Sport 24m, 11
7 Step Up

An old line, merging with Haiku on the slab. Only one bolt visible at the lip. Unsure about the exact grade.

FR:6c+ Unknown

Crimpy at the start, pumpy at the top.

Set: Bubut Tan-Torres, 1996
