Ascents in Rocklands

The same as the 18 only even more sustained and with a more out there finish! So so good, I'm calling it mega classic ! Just imagine one big slab of vertical rock with just the right number of little crimpy rails and divots to crank on and move through with style. I love how clean it feels there is no concern of a bad fall and the bolting (following rebolt, thanks to Andy) is super solid. You can't not love it

Amazing route! Just sandbagged at 22. Especially compared to the 22 next to it on the right. Feels closer to 24.

A nice long and sustained 19 with some precarious sections. I had to reach very far around the corner at one point which felt like I was off route or bolt was simply too far. Really rewires a clear head as your body is tilted awkwardly for 3/4 of the route, after which there is a truly rad section where you move out onto the face. It is intimidating but doable at the grade and well worth a send. Tough moves through lots of pinches on big pieces and then standing on them in a slopey fashion. Very cool! Next time 24 wink

It's an ok route that is a nice warm up as it's not a give away but it's quite short and a little contrived with a big block to the side which feels off route but offers good feet that you naturally want to use. Nice route to get my folks on!

What a beautiful line in such a beautiful area. Not to be missed if you climb the grade! Bring a lot of pads and get your best spotter to lookout for you .

This is a friggen sick 18! Really consistent and long, beautiful clean face climbing. As long as the wind isnt too bad it's so so cool. Really fun semi bouldery start onto this awesome big orange face. Get on it NOW

Hmm I enjoyed the crux but altogether it's a bit soft and not as climatic as you might hope. I got more oohs and aahs from the crowd on the 16! Still really fun and a good safe route

A pretty interesting beginner route that has no really tough moves but does affect the head. A few different styles and sections that are quite nicely pieced together albeit with a bit of downtime on top of the big block. The top is a bit confusing as it's not clear to go through , past, or simply stop below the little ledge /roof feature on which the chains lie. If you're bringing beginners start them on this and make sure to leave the clip in on top of the bloc so there are no nasty big swings (for a back climb on TR. I got petty much my entire extended family up this route including 68 year old pops!

A good if not very good and consistent route that feels 17/18 or so with a tricky semi arete section at the bottom. Would be good for someone to claim and name the route. Number needs to change from 6 once that happens. A good addition to the crag.

For a 16 you get a pretty rad roof at the top. The climbing below is not a give away and I think it's a great climb and well bolted.

Enjoyable, two blankish sections otherwise quite easy.
