Duerin-bawi 드린바위 is 130m high and 100m wide. It was rst developed in 1975. In May 1998, it was redeveloped with the addition of ve routes, including a couple of aid routes. This crag looks a bit creepy. It is dark granite and the climbs vary from face, slab, crack, and overhanging routes. This is a good place to train for big-wall expeditions.

It is hard to get to the base of this mountain by public transportation. From EunYang Bus Terminal 언양, take a bus heading for Jung-ri 중리마을. Buses run every ninety minutes. At Jung-ri 중리, follow the street that runs through the small alleyway across the street from the OK Youth Training House. The trail starts at the end of the alley. The crag can be clearly seen from the trailhead. Instead of taking the more obvious gorge- side trail, take the trail to the right, that heads towards the ridgeline. Continue on until you reach a fork. Follow the trail to the left and you’ll reach the crag in five minutes.

Descent notes

Gear 10 draws, a 60m rope, and a full set of cams. Aid climbing equipment is also needed for the multi-pitches. Safety The rock is loose and some of the bolts are suspicious. A helmet and extra webbing is highly recommended. Additional Comments There are good campsites available.
