Description

Approach

From Maspalomas, head north on GC-60 towards Fataga. Before reaching the village, take a dirt-road leading left signposted "Ayagaures". Follow this road ca. 100 m towards the base of the valley and turn right following a rough track that can carefully be travelled with an ordinary car. Park your car upon reaching a canal barring the gorge (taking the tunnel underneath is only recommended with high clearance vehicles). Alternatively, leave your car ca. 2 km s further up the road on a small barking bay close to the dam and decent using the stairs on the dam. Most routes can be found on the true right side of the gorge between the canal and the dam (from left to right: sectors "Topatras", "Caidero", "Palmera", "Muro"); only few on the opposite site (sector "Cueva").
