Description

One more world class sector of Margalef. The north faced wall of Raco De La Finestra hosts a bunch of hight end sport climbs and 'Perfecto Mundo' (9b+) is currently the hardest route in Margalef.

The chance to meet some elite climbers is very high here but also for the common climbers this manifold sector offers superb climbs - especially on the left or right side of the cliff where you could also find some sun at the morning or in the evening.

Approach

Park here (41.276612, 0.769320) and a steep but short walk will take you to the cliff in 5 minutes. You can see the sector already from the parking lot.

Ethic inherited from Margalef

Como es habitual toda tu basura debe terminar en algún contenedor y a poder ser, de reciclaje.

En el pueblo y en la zona del camping podrás encontrar para realizarlo.

Por un bosque limpio y un mundo mejor.

Not your average Margalef climb. the start is a bit nasty which makes it a less than ideal warm up unless you are way above the grade.

The route is 45-degrees overhanging with a boulder problem to pull over into the final slab. 25 moves of 8c+ to reach a poor rest. Then 10 moves to reach the crux: a jump from a mono to a big pinch. Afterwards endurance 8b+ with few rests. Yellow rock at the bottom that goes to white and at the top it is grey.

This route climbs the first half of "Perfecto Mundo" and then swoops into "Víctimes del Passat" all the way to the top taking in some of the best climbing to be had in Margalef!

Connects "Victimes del Passat", with "Gancho Perfecto". Initially graded 8c+ par Ramon Julian, it was upgraded to 9a/+ by Tom Bolger and Jorge Díaz-Rullo.

FFA: Ramon Julian, 2008

A route with a long history of grade changes. Ramon Julian initially graded it at 8c/+. Then Patxi Usobiaga proposed 8c+. In 2015 Alex Megos broke a hold before sending it proposing 9a. Jakob Schubert flashed it and downgraded it to 8c+/9a which was later confirmed by Jorge Díaz-Rullo and seems to be the current consensus.

Angie Scarth-Johnson's Sep 2021 ascent of this route was the first Australian female ascent of a grade 9a/35.
