Summary

Wonderful barranco with eucalyptus trees. Sector Frontales is a good shady wall and the other sectors have nice barranco climbing with smooth rock for the first few meters.

Description

Four climbing areas facing in different directions offering sun & shade. The crags provide slabs & also steep and pumpy routes and are often better than a first impression gives. A brush may be useful after heavy rainfall to clean dust from some routes. A few sectors with longer routes will require a 60m rope.

No issues.

Approach

  1. Leave the TF-1 motorway at the Fasnia-Los Roques junction. Drive in direction of Fasnia on the TF-620 until you reach the junction with the TF-28 (6.4km). Take a right on the TF-28 in direction of La Zara-El Escobonal. Stay on this road for 1.4km and take a left in direction of Arese-Archifiras. 100m after the first 90 degree curve to the right, you take the dirt track on the left behind the water tank (28.244552, -16.439631), which leads you directly to the parking below the wall (28.242867, -16.443028). The dirt road is on fairly bad condition, but manageable. If it is looking too bad, park nearby the water tank and walk 500m to the crag.

  2. (28.242195, -16.442078) and walk 2 minutes to the obvious crag

Ethic inherited from Tenerife

Please keep the crags noise free and clean. Take your trash and toilet papers with you. Locals tend to bring dogs to the crag. It is good manners to use your own gear at the anchors for lowering or setting up top-ropes. Use the anchor rings/carabiners only for the final lower-off after cleaning.
